Mrs. Lurellea A. Siababa is the devoted mother of King Leumar Siababa, a brave 5-year-old patient at Child Haus.

For years, their journey was marked by sacrifice and quiet strength. Mrs. Siababa would take long, exhausting bus rides from Ilocos Norte to Manila just so her son could receive therapy. Many nights, instead of going home, they would sleep outside the hospital—cradling hope under the open sky. There were days when she chose to skip meals so she could save every peso for her son’s medicines. Through it all, she held on tightly to her faith and her son’s smile.

There were days when she chose to skip meals so she could save every peso for her son’s medicines.

Everything changed when she reached out to Child Haus. The organization welcomed them with open arms, offering medical support, covering hospital expenses, and providing a safe place to stay. For the first time in a long while, they had a warm bed to sleep on, nutritious meals to share, and a community that embraced them like family.

Today, King Leumar receives the care and attention he deserves, and his mother no longer has to fight their battles alone. Instead of worrying about survival, they can finally focus on healing—and dreaming again.

Mrs. Siababa’s story is a tender reminder that compassion can lift even the heaviest burdens, and that when a community comes together, it can bring light to families facing their darkest moments.
